Captain of Manchester United

These days everything about our club is just simply embarrassing.
From an amateur manager who would struggle to get a job with a non-league side , to clueless owners who only care about making money for themselves , etc...
And then there's the curious case of Harry Maguire who I'm sure still scratches his head and wonders how the feck he is the captain of Manchester United.
Arguably the worst defender I've ever seen play for United. This so called "leader" doesn't inspire anybody , hardly ever speaks and communicates with his teammates to organize his defense and always looks like he's about to cry every time he's on camera during a match.
Look at Diaz and Laporte at City , VVD and Fabinho at Liverpool and Silva and Rüdiger at Chelsea how they're constantly communicating with each other throughout a match.
But then look at our defense. Other than Varane , who seems to try to organize the defense , we've got a captain who needs "protection" because he's a shyyte defender , a LB who's too fat and lazy and a RB who might actually be a damn mute ffs!
I mean honestly has anyone ever seen Wan-Bissaka even mutter one word on the pitch ever in his whole career at United?

We've gone from having strong leaders and captains such as Sir Bobby Charlton , Bryan Robson , Steve Bruce , Eric Cantona , Roy Keane , Nemanja Vidic , Gary Neville , Wayne Rooney , "Saint Patrick" Evra ... to now having to endure watching a League 2 level player as our captain.
The appointment of the current manager and the subsequent naming of Harry Maguire as club captain should have been pretty obvious warning signs as to the ambitions - or lack thereof - of this football club I'm afraid.

Reading that Ed is slow on firing ole cos he doesn't want that to be his last act.

What a club. 😦 shambles
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The 'Ole is the biggest problem' crowd need to wake up.

Ole does need to go and should have gone the day after Liverpool for me. However no matter who we employ we won't be getting back to the glory days under these owners and this board.

Woodward is going and is set to be replaced by Arnold. That's like one Glazer taking over control from another as far as I'm concerned.

The club is finished until it's floated or sold. I'm so sick to death of these cretins ruining this great football club.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah, they've ruined if by allowing Ole to spend over 300 million in 3 years. They spent 120 million on Maguire and AWB. You can cry about debt and how much they take out of the club but they put more than enough in to be successful.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed. It's too easy for United fans to blame the owners and board as we all pretty much do but at the end of the day they're not the reason why we haven't had a system of play or any sort of football structure within the team over last 3 years.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

This is now the 4th manager in just over 8 years and it's soon to be a 5th.

And you're defending then? Jesus Christ wake up. Who employed Ole to start with? I wanted Ancelotti in that crazy December but it wasn't to be so I got on board with the decision THEY made.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't how things are done where you are but elsewhere when you employ someone to do a job for you you don't then expect yourself to start doing his/her job for them.
The current manager was hired and then given money to spend and he has failed miserably at everything he's done. You can't just lazily blame everybody else.

David De Gea seemed to have been finally pushed over the edge yesterday with that shocking defending from Maguire and others.
I mean he was absolutely fuming while leaving The pitch at halftime.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He's a cheek given his form for the last few seasons

He's been at fault for 3 of the last 4 we've conceded too, despite his return to good shot stopping form

It surely under a competent structure he wouldn't have got the FT job to start with.

Ole is only responsible for the last 3 years. What about the 5 years prior?

Time to wake up. These owners and the board are equally to blame. More so for me as Ole should have never got the job longer than being caretaker.

Maguire is terrible. His United career is littered with errors so far and you can count his decent games on one hand.
Unfortunately we're stuck with him and lindlesh!te for the foreseeable, so we are basically fecked defensively for a while.

He's awful. Belongs at a mid table club or relegation battles.

The club were right not to get him for Jose, but they stupidly brought him for Ole who they believed in.

Ole made a huge mistake, along with AWB. That's £125m wasted on pure trash.

…….

He wasn’t crying when they appointed Jose either. He was well over the moon on that one.

Ole and his captain have 5 five relegations among them. If you add the coaching staff, you have over 10 relegations. How can you expect such a bunch of losers to lead you glory. They just can’t believe their luck to be in charge of one the biggest and richest clubs in the world.
