Reading v Forest - Match Thread

Thankfully the International break is over. I take little delight in watching England play cricket against San Marino.

However, I did miss the Derby 9 point reduction! It was two days after that I read BBC football, and whilst this all but condemns them to League One (18 points from safety), I hope they stay in business.

However, I have zero sympathy for cheats and I remember the old 606 days well. They loved our relegation, so I will sure love theirs. It is an unfair system though, parachute payments and trying to compete against them, but rules are rules.

Onto the match and you'd expect Cooper to have tried a few things out. Although, in reality, why change a side that has taken 21 points from it's last ten games.

Soh has a recurrence of his injury issues and Tutu remains in London. Other than that, I think we are fully fit.

Reading of course have had their own deduction, but remain in a fairly healthy position. They have 5 wins and 5 losses over the last ten games, but have lost 4 of the last 5. As we usually perform better away, then we should be able to walk away with at least a draw.

Prediction: Reading 1 Forest 3

Set piece goals are killing our momentum, todays was so simple. We seem susceptible to any set play, which is quite surprising as Steve C had Swansea well drilled, defensively. Only saw the highlights but it looks like Reading and Brice had good first halves, whilst we seemed to have some good chances in the second, Grabban appeared unfortunate not to finish, but a draw seemed a fair result. Luton at home will be tricky for sure, but hopefully we can nick that one.

Happy with the result, I think a draw was a fair result for us both. Reading are a decent side,

With Bong in / Lowe out, we looked a man down at first, but Bong improved.

Worrall lost his man for the goal.

Colback MotM for me also.

Johnson had an off game, as did a few others,

I can't see Colback playing midweek after that. Garner looked a lot better than he has been so far. I think he'll start against Luton and we'll go 5 at the back.

Grabban deserved a goal for his efforts, I doubt he'll start against Luton.

Drager and Ojeda in the squad after international duty? Drager with a simple finish for his International goal. Ojeda getting a twenty minute run-out.
