Derby County 3 - 2 Bournemouth

MILLWALL v DERBY COUNTY.DERBY COUNTY v BOURNEMOUTH...................………... Sky Bet Championship Game 18

1200 Pride Park, Derby 20th November 2021

Interesting times ahead as The Mighty Rams prepare for 'life changing decisions' that have been imposed upon them. There is still stuff to happen, so I'm not holding my breath for any steely knight on a steely stead to come to the rescue. We've reached one hell of a hiatus in the club's history and I wish I was young enough to think I have plenty of years to see the Rams back to where we think is rightful (undeserved) place

Yeah, Mel was bang out of order but I sometimes hark back to the mid-nineties and think we should have not missed the EPL gravy train, clung onto the coattails Man U, Spurs Arsenal et al but we didn't.

Bournemouth are about the closest we'll get to playing premiership in the next few years, so lets enjoy it and .....er......accept whatever happens. (BTW get ya score prediction on to Banno's post). Therein lies one of the problems - parachute payments for 4 years which does skew the competion in theleague a little.

I hate international breaks - still we won't have them next year - so, I imagine the team will be pretty much as you were for Millwall. Going gung ho just because of the situation we're in could be embarrassing.

So, new season ticket in hand, rare appearance for LNSR in the North Stand, visit to Subway before the game.......it all looks rosy doesn't it? Doesn't it?

Team news:- Roos,#SUBS:-

Much like you vidal, (particularly if I'm stood behind that particular goal), it gives me palpitations when Davies and Roos do their double-act.

I certainly understand WHY Rooney wants the team to do it. Hitting it long generally guarantees giving the ball to the opposition. Even with CKR up front we will lose possession more often than we retain it. It just needs care and precision. Roos often gives me a heart attack because he dithers and allows himself to be closed down. Today he took a daft touch that cost the goal. I still think it's the brave and correct thing to do with this group of players though. A lot of our best play today came when we beat the press and were able to move the ball quickly and well through the midfield.

There are ways & means though. That was a particularly kamikaze one today

Yeah it was awful.

Mrs Heb is bottling this season's Croft Sloe Gin. I am helping. 🍷

That was our Christmas Eve task, followed by the sloes (more likely damsons) topped with a bit of soured cream, for dessert xx

Strictly speaking its a fruit gin. We have Josta Berries (Blackcurrent x Redcurrent/gooseberry), which, with Wine Society High Strength Gin keep the lights on during a Lewis winter

I think I need Josta berries in my life! Never heard of them before, but a combination of two mighty flavours!
Unable to find either gooseberries or rhubarb here, or proper cooking apples - nothing sharp.

I`m unsure of the "rules" but can Liam Thompson only make one more appearance for us this season? I assume he`s not one of the original 25.
