My last article on the guy as it reminds me of the time I once met Margot Robbie and she wanted all sorts of hanky panky but I said no and regretted it ever since*
He would have been perfect in a lot of ways. He would have come in and fixed our biggest problem - the defence. He would have slapped our players into shape and instilled some sort of organisation and also been happy to have come in on an 18 month contract halfway through a season.
There are only a few bonafide world class coaches out there and Conte is one of them. The players would respect him and his achievements and he would leave our side in much better shape than he found them - and with a fully functioning defence.
I understand he may have clashed with some of the big cheeses but as Steve Nicol said on ESPN earlier - our best ever manager in SAF is exactly the type of manager the current owners don’t want. Someone who would come in and get stuff done on their own terms without worrying about brusing some egos. As it stands, if Conte’s Spurs win this weekend they go above us. Tell me again, who won El Sackico? 😂
