No. It's always good to have mentors and advisors who are experienced, have been there and done it. It's not a sign of weakness to seek opinions of those with good opinions

On paper it would be great to have him involved in a coaching/assistant role.

Him and Arteta both have strengths/weaknesses which complement one another. In reality though, probably not much to get excited about.
