No one said it was going to be easy. We have to win v QPR just to stay still. It’s important the fans don’t stress too much about it when the results push our targets further away. Had we not picked up the 4 unexpected points then we would be in the relegation zone on merit tonight, waiting Mondays result.
But it was a great 4 points and it’s a long season.
It must be hard to not be nervous, as a player, facing a chasm this wide to bridge even after those two great results.
Just keeping plugging away, let’s be the divisions black hole lurking ominously in the darkness waiting to pull in anyone who doesn’t have the mental fortitude for the fight.
For fight we will, that is obvious.

It's the only way sometimes,Spart. Some of them are people like yourself. I defy anyone to do that sober.

If we lose tomorrow we will have earned 4 points from Bournemouth, Fulham and QPR. I thought we would struggle to get a single point going into those 3 fixtures. I just hope that fans don't get unrealistic expectations of what the team can achieve and still recognise that we are over-achieving significantly at the moment. I thought we would be relegated even without points deductions so I'm delighted with the fight we are showing, the way the youngsters are developing and way we are playing with no little quality on occasions. To keep the tiniest hope of survival alive we need to try to close the gap month by month. If we can get within eight or none points or so of survival by March then you never know. Coming into November it looked like it could be a month where we were cut completely adrift so just to maintain the gap seems like a very good achievement to me.
