Saw we went 1-0 online, then saw Cooper off and we'd gotten to half time, checked score again on way home we're 1-2 down, Philips is off, game completely turned around.
Watched the last 10 minutes, lots of going nowhere and Brentford looking dangerous going forwards.
Finally a corner, Meslier up for it. Bamford pokes it in, short waving madness.
I dont think we can underestimate Brentofrd, a perennially good side, who have given good account of themselves in Prem.
Losing Cooper and Philips cannot help, but despite possession, it didn't feel as if we were having it all our own way and we were a minute away from an awful result and lets face it, a draw at hime v Brentford is nothing to get excited about.
Hope Ayling and Bamford come through unscathed and Cooper and Philips are ok.
Anyone know why Struijk not in squad.
Non playing Rodrigo must cast doubt over what future holds for him at Leeds. Gone from starting to not even getting on pitch.

I can only really see 4 points from the next 5 games which isn't such a disaster because to be 20 pts from 20 games and a potential January window to add a couple of reinforcements I think is borderline acceptable and would just about keep us above the bottom 3 but Leeds are the sort of team that when you expect us to get soundly beaten we have a habit of pulling off a surprise win that no one expected so let's hope Santa brings us a few `oh what fun it is to see United win away"

This game shows why we are in real danger of relegation, seemingly in complete control cruising 1-0 up,to trailing 2-1 after being absolutely under no pressure. Keep saying if you struggle to score but concede easily it's only going one way. Really worried about next 4 games could be very embarrassing.

My thoughts from today:
Extremely glad Ayling and PB are back. Tyler was
great. The lads were equal to Brentford first half.
Second in the second half. But, PB proved why he's
so crucial to our team. Massive, massive point.
Happy.

I think MB has to take responsibility for this one. Bringing on Harrison for Coops was inexplicable, when we had a perfectly good replacement in Cresswell. What was he thinking?

Fair do's to Tyler - he was excellent, by all accounts. My main criticism of him has always been his lack of end product (ie goals) and on the odd occasion his overall contribution, but never his work rate - he works his socks off. Fingers crossed this will be the first of many goals.

Jonty, I think your thoughts on the game would mean more if you actually watched the game. First half we pressed like a pack of dogs and easily the far better side.
Their first goal came from nothing, a lucky bounce and they struck for a second while we were wondering what hit us.
Bamford and ayling back are massive but this is two lost points. Brentford are lucky to get a point despite giving up the late goal.
Really disappointing, if not for the dramatics would feel like a loss.

mont, I'm sure they would which is why I've only really commented on what I saw.

Jonty my comments came off a little snooty there. Sorry for that.

Thought as much myself at the time but leeds were second best in the opening exchanges and cooper coming off perhaps allowed him to change things around. It looked like klich was coming on for a short while then they revered to Harrison. To be fair though the changes worked and we dominated the rest of the half. Was it not for a somehow-missed Dallas tackle and no Mans land Ayling we would probably have been able
To get Phillips off and get organised

Both goals were soft. Their first one forshaw seemed to have left it (need to see it again) when the cross came in - can only assume he thought there was a leeds player behind him. Very poor.
Bit like spurs - good first half, but didn’t turn up for the first 15/20 mins in the second and at this level you get punished. Overall, disappointed. 2 points dropped

I hate to say this but their first goal was avoidable if Dallas had simply put the ball out. He just wasn’t strong enough. Then they got a lucky bounce and scored.
Second was a loose pass from Firpo but to be fair we were all a bit ragged at that point.
Good finish from Canos but what was he thinking going to celebrate in front of the Kop? I think a water bottle hit him and he went down, only to get up pretty much straight away.
A game we should have won but I think the two injuries knocked us off balance a bit.
A great end to the game and a point was the least we deserved. Some of the Brentford time wasting was embarrassing - especially from their keeper.
Oh - and the ref was crap!

Losing Phillips and Cooper was very costly for us, the defending for both their goals was really poor, we looked comfortable up until then and after that it was 11 men behind the ball + timewasting. What a sweet equiliser from Bamford.
6 points above the drop, not ideal, but at the same time distances us enough I think.
