Dunno why we kept him tbh. I guess Arteta decided he was going to keep the kid and break him to his will, rather than let him just move on to somewhere he can get to play the decent football he wants to.

I agree with the OP, with the way our strikers are misfiring we have nothing to lose by starting Balogun, the worst he can do is miss sitters - so there would be no change in that event.

I think he's score a bagful if he gets played, not because he's just so hot sh!t because the longer it takes for hom to be played, the more incompetent Arteta looks for not having played him. He's already looking a complete moron to any fan who's only just seeing Martinelli this season but hearing how much he hasn't played under Arteta. Balogun instantly shining again too is right on form for Arteta showing everyone just how lousy a manager he really is.

Balogun has a lot of talent and I fear in this team he will lose all his confidence like all the strikers have. He had a shocking début earlier in the season.
