Will you comply?

I’ve seen a few fans of Twitter today saying they won’t comply with the new rules. Their prerogative but I wonder how they are going to get into ER?

No doubt the PL will expect clubs to check vaccine certs and negative tests.

Plus how does the latter work? Can you self test at home with the NHS kit? If so that’s open to abuse big time.

Personally I’m all for making the vaccine mandatory, but only to the point where it restricts access to crowded, public places ie pubs, restaurants, theatres etc. Basically if you refuse the vaccine then you have to self isolate. Unless it’s for medical reasons then there is no excuse. Baseless conspiracy theories cannot be used to risk overburdening the health services and potentially depriving those that have heeded all the advice.

I was the one who said hospitals should have the right
to turn unvaccinated people away who contract COVID and COVID related illnesses. Absolutely. Why should cretins not pay a price for being cretins?

I do realize some people can't take the vaccine. Those that can, but refuse because they stupidly think they're being tracked by big brother through the vaccine or any of the other bat sh * T crazy conspiracies, should forget lining up at the hospital if they get COVID.

Line up for this year's Darwin awards instead.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What about someone who breaks their leg playing football? They weren't forced to play football and to be honest, I don't really feel comfortable paying for their self-inflicted injury out of my wage deductions. Come to think of it, anyone injured doing DIY, anyone who gets their head kicked in whilst out drinking, people with HIV, they can all f-ck off. They could and should have all taken precautions and knew the risks beforehand. I don't care that some of them have been paying into the system for years to protect them should they have any mishaps, let them deal with it, the idiots.

You see how ludicrous and disgustingly lacking in compassion your argument is yet, or do you need even more examples of self-inflicted pain where people should be told to get stuffed? All those people are citizens of this state and should be entitled to the same level of healthcare as anyone else, regardless of their opinion.

Ironic that you use the word cretin then go on to spew all that garbage.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don’t agree with what he says, but your counter argument is awful. I don’t understand why some of you are using the examples you are, they are as incomparable as you can get. Refusing a vaccine that has been proven to massively reduce the burden on the NHS is a world away from the examples you’ve given, and dilutes your own viewpoint.

They're deliberately obtuse, I figured that much would be obvious 🙄

The main point is that every citizen of this country, regardless of what their belief system is, are and should always be welcomed by the NHS.

What I really take exception with is, whilst conspiracy theorists are largely in my own viewpoint, absolute f-cking mentalists, they aren't going around wishing death on others. Just because someone has a vastly different viewpoint to the majority, no matter how dangerous you perceive that view to be, that sure as hell doesn't give anyone the right to condemn someone to death.

Yeah I get that, but it’s pretty pointless with regards to his opinion and you disagreeing with it.

I agree with the last part, but whilst the conspiracy theorists aren’t wishing death on people, their actions are potentially risking lives.

I totally agree, but a solution needs to be found regards the misuse of social media in general. Twitter is by far the worst. I personally enjoy that platform, a lot, but then I'm like 99% of people who use it to keep myself connected to the things that interest me and the people who are involved in those interests. Like 99% of people, I most certainly don't use it to share factually incorrect and dangerous propaganda, tell someone to kill themselves or abuse a footballer because of his skin colour.

The best way to get to the crux of this issue is to take away the chance for these ballbags to have a platform in which to spread their untruths. As it looks apparent that this can't be policed on an individual basis then what next? Ban sites like Twitter altogether? I honestly don't know.

Whatever the solution, humanity should never reach the stage whereby it becomes the norm or accepted to be able to refuse anyone adequate medical care that those people have helped to fund all their working lives.

The issue with the new variant, Omicron, is that it spreads real easy.

And the only people it impacts badly (from data so far - this may change) are the unvaccinated.

The evidence from these vaccines is incontrovertible - they save lives and have unbelievably small major side effects. Taking aspirin or paracetamol is more dangerous.

People have determined they like to be contrarian and go against the people who work for them and for the benefit of society, because they think that every decision taken for the whole benefit of society should meet their personal ways of thinking.

That's not how society works. Societies protect the macro so that society continues, not the individual who wishes to live outside some societal norms.
without realising they are just as much a hamster on the wheel in every other aspect of their lives.

Hey ho - we all die some day. Some sooner than others.

None of which changes the fact that the NHS is and should always be available to everyone who has spent their entire lives helping to fund it. You don't have to like it, but that's your problem.

I love how some are quite happy to opt out of society but then want the benefits of that society when the need suits. s

Opting out of society would be refusing to spend any kind of currency, pay taxes, drive vehicles, buy consumables, clothes, packaged food. Is anyone doing that?

These folk may very well be the word you use to describe them in a societal sense, but they are still privy to the same freedom of choice as everybody else. And as their choice to refuse a vaccination breaks no laws, then nobody has any kind of right to insist they are punished in any way, shape or form.

If people claim to care so much about others, then surely that has to be inclusive to all? Otherwise you're just as bad as everyone else.
