We play as a team. What went wrong last season was gaps between lines forming cos we simply were not playing as one unit.

The defense was too deep isolating the forwards.

This year that line is very high again and doing well. Konate and phillips v milan was great at offside for example. That helps compress the pitch and enable the interceptions etc.

So many pundits missed this and assumed we'd struggle this season. The whole balance of the team was off last season when Fab and Hendo had to play at centre back. The usual high line was too deep and teams exploited that space, we conceded lots of goal last season when teams broke the line in midfield and had an overload on our back 4, plus then and Robbo were still trying to play high so the line was a mess.

But this season we're back to our very best, proven with 8 changes in Milan and we win easy. Us and city are the best teams in the league, Chelsea are a good and can grind out wins bur aren't as good a team as we are, still very good though.

The Big 3 are very good, the rest are nowhere, West Ham should stroll a CL place this season, best of the rest.

But...we aint top! Its going to be city and us just like when we lost by the single point...but hopefully this time we beat them to it!

Our worst period in decades was not when the side was conceding bags more goals but when the forwards coudln't score at all. 7 losses, all narrow. the lines dropping off isolated the forwards who are in the end not target men or people to hold a ball up. We couldn't score for toffee.

same team now up top but goals flying in round the park. its all about the unit playing together

Before the season I said the best signings that could have been made would be getting the squad back to full fitness again. I also feel like people focus too much about the squad on paper, whereas football isn't played on paper.
