I’m a little surprised that we haven’t heard more from the clubs and leagues across Europe about what they’ve been doing to try to encourage all of their players to get vaccinated.

The cost of having an unvaccinated squad might be astronomical, given potential losses involved in being forced to play weakened sides or even having to forfeit games.

To my knowledge, although UK law doesn’t allow private employers to mandate vaccination, the clubs could have told players they couldn’t train if they weren’t dosed. And legally, they are certainly able to offer incentives to employees who can demonstrate that they’ve been vaccinated.

Does this mean Lindelof may have been covid related? Looked like he had breathing issues?

Lindelof has said that he was in a collision with another player and then couldn't breathe.

Rangnick has said that his heart-rate was higher than normal so he had to replace him, but that the docs checked him off-field and he seemed OK.

Probably absolutely nothing to do with COVID.

Not sure but I’m sure I read Liverpool have the most vaccinated squad in the PL.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah I heard that too. Klopp is a pretty strong advocate of vaccinations and he's obviously a very strong leader too, so not all that surprising. Fair play to them
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Wolves are apparently completely vaccinated
----------------------------------------------------------------------
vaccination trophy

Fair play, actually.

Thought there was a bit of needle in the recent Wolves v Liverpool game.

I keep seeing headlines suggesting that the Brentford game is in doubt, but I can't find any specifics about how many are affected, who they are, whether it's players or staff etc.

The worrying thing is if Norwich picked up their breakout when they played Spurs, and we've picked up ours from them, then we're seeing just how transmissible this new variant is. Then the sensible thing to do might be to put the brakes on and stop all games for a period of time, and nobody wants that.

Origi always does a decent jab from off the bench.
