Reports coming out (originating from Raph's agent)
that Bayern have a pre-window agreement to sign
him for 50 million euros.
Anyone know if this is valid? Or is the agent stirring
business up? Or is it just more click bait?

It’s holiday madness time. Few games on. Papers and news outlets looking for clicks and sales.
Both Raph and Phillips negotiating new contracts. I think they will get them and stay until at least the summer. Then we might cash in or build around them depending on where we are.
Nothing to see here

That’s what Stevie wonder says, but he’s not a Leeds fan. Where there’s smoke around Elland Road, there’s usually a fire sale.

AR has owned us for 3.5 years now. And we’ve only ever sold players to reinvest in the squad or because Bielsa has wanted them out.
Never been anything close to a fire sale under his ownership.
Made plenty of mistakes but this idea that he’s desperate to sell off talent has no basis.

Over here the Raph stories are small, there was a bit here and there but they've faded!..
Normally when Bayern want somebody its big news, so if they're after him for them its being kept very quite!..
As for AR and fire sales, compare him to from Ridsdale then ask what a firesale is!..

Last time I checked we had £53m put into our account. Not sure a fire sale is required right now to be fair.
If we do sell it will be because Bielsa sees something we don’t or he wants rid of someone.

Not necessarily, Vieira, Roofe and Alioski were all players that Bielsa didn't want to leave.
AR said from day one that he's getting into football to develop players and sell them.

"we have to sell maybe 1 or 2 key players and buy players coming up"

I think AR was referring to summer business.
As in, every summer we have to be prepared to
lose/sell one to two players and then use that
money to reinvest in the squad for the next season.
Like Leicester do.
Don't think he meant "in January."

I think Roofe and Alioski wanted bigger wages than we were prepared to pay, based on their ability. I think MB would have been consulted in both cases.
Vieira I cannot remember the situation.

Of course Bielsa would have been consulted, but being consulted does not equate to wanting them to leave.

Just finished reading Phil Hay's book, Viera left to finance the deal for Paddy.

I'm friends with someone very close to Vieira, he didn't want to go, Bielsa didn't want him to go, as I said earlier, it isn't always Bielsa's call.
