Out of all the players we have been to linked, how many players (realistically) do you think we will sign? For me :
Kessie, although he has not really impressed against Liverpool he is still a decent player which Conte could make even better. Should be a cheap transfer fee as his contract runs out in the summer.
Vlahovic, bang in form striker. 21 years old and loads of scope to get better.
Would love him to join in January if possible. A few other clubs are sure to be after him too. With Pep stating they are not in the hunt for a striker in January the door is slightly open. I'm sure he and any other player would love to play for Conte.
For me these two, along with potentially calling Sarr from his loan would be a very good window. I haven't mentioned any Inter players as they are top of their table so doubt they will sell anyone at this moment(even the ones we have been linked to with expiring contracts).
Both Kessie and Vlahovic have both refused new contracts so there is more scope to sign them.
Also a new right back if Doherty is sold but not a clue who. Definately not Max Aarons who we have been linked to in the past.
Who should be sold or loaned out?
Gil should be loaned out with Stevie B finding some form. Would like to Markanday take his place.
Rodon should be loaned as well or sold if a good fee is offered.
Doherty, only if a decent replacement can be found.
Dele, time to say good bye. He should be playing regular football at his age and needs a new challenge.
Ndombele, an expensive mistake who a few fans fell in love with on the back of a couple of good performances against Man City. The modern day Adel Taarabt. Should be first out of the door.
Lo Celso - if a decent offer came in, so long Gio.
Not saying all three mids should be sold in one window btw but it depends on which clubs offer a decent fee which is hard to gauge.
Decided to keep Winks because if Dele and Doherty are sold HG quota could be a problem plus he has earned his place in the squad. Looks to have turned the corner.
Sanchez, keep for now but upgradable until the summer. Romero should be back next month.

Midfield is the one place we are slightly over stocked in. Assuming we have to sell one or two I really hope Sarr's loan is cut short to fill in the gap.

Is it though? Bit of an apples vs oranges comparison surely. Lukaku had better stats than Vlahovic, yes, but he's also 7 years older & more established, played in a better side under a better manager and in a front 2. I personally reckon Vlahovic is going to be a top top player and he'll probably be worth double the current price in a few years, and I also reckon in today's market I'd comfortably pay £70m for Lukaku too.
Also, side note for those mentioning Traore as a wing back because he's played there for Wolves - he was terrible
