not really needlessly... just thought we were naming players within the squad who seem to have had complaints about their lifestyle... didnt realise we werent mentioning the ones we liked

given that the article is about some players apparently complaining about changes to their training schedule, it strikes me as odd to name the one member of the squad who is not currently in training

Tbh it's hard to know how much truth there is in this. This rumour only came about after we put in a lazy performance and the players spent most of the game complaining.

Suddenly we hear that they don't like training and are complaining about it. Looks like someone has just basically seen the performance on Monday and decided that this rubbish attitude extends to day to day training, given the timing of this leak.

Not saying it definitely isn't true but just that the timing is convenient

I think that is insulting to women to be fair. Substitute ‘a woman’ for ‘Nohlman’ and you will be onto something.

no idea who the current whingers are - if there even are any - but there are (at least) 3 in the squad who have had a manager publicly question their lifestyle/training before, and those are shaw, greenwood, and sancho.

There is a rumour that whenever Shaw seems to be in the bench/going through a bad period that's when the rumours seem to be coming out.

Not sure if any of it's true, the paper reports or the shaw rumour. However I do recall one of the "issues" with Shaw was that he had an entourage of friends who even lived with him as he moved clubs etc. Maybe one of them?

Just for perspective. Iirc DiCanio was one of the first to implement training at certain times to coincide with game time.

Likes of Klopp and LVG have also got players to undertake more training to build up fitness etc. So not a new concept. Iirc correctly the "more training" was in essence double sessions. Morning and late afternoon.

Shaw defintely moved to Manchester with an entourage/group of mates who all lived together, I remember reading it in an interview in the Guardian when he first moved and thought that was a bit weird (do they share the rent and bills like a student house and all got new jobs in Manchester?). Haven't heard about it since so no idea if he still does or not?
