After the disappointment of 2 postponed games over the festive period it’s to be hoped that this fixture will go ahead for several reasons, not the least of which is that there has probably never been a better time to play United if press reports are to be believed.

After their previous joke manager was sacked, United brought in Ralph Rangnick as interim boss to steady a very wobbly ship. Unfortunately, things don’t seem to have been going too smoothly and although they have recorded 4 wins and 2 draws in all competitions, it is the nature of the performances that have set tongues wagging. The on-field body language of some of their ‘superstars’ combined with the rumours of discontent in the dressing room all point to a squad of players who are playing for themselves and not for each other or the badge on their shirts. However, anyone who watched their victory over Burnley on Thursday would treat all the negative reports with some sceptism.

By complete contrast, the Wolves players continue to show what a tight knit group they are with various players making frequent statements of how content they are and how they are loving being part of the ‘wolf pack’ family.

So if the game goes ahead I guess we can expect the home side to continue to build on their previous performance whilst the visitors will continue to do what they do, ie. defend resolutely and struggle to put the ball in the opposition’s net.

The game will be broadcast live on Sky Sports

I can never understand why people can't have the courage of their convictions. Being able to say I was mistaken is a strength not a weakness.

I have no problem saying I couldn't see a long term future for Saiss. And am actually happy to be proved wrong. You have to give Saiss credit where it is due.

I never rated Saiss - I was wrong
I didn't rate Semedo - I was wrong
I didn't rate Ait-Nouri - I was wrong
I didn't rate Trincao - He is currently proving me wrong.

I am happy to be proved wrong but perhaps I should stop making snap judgements on players

On the other hand when I suggested Coady would make a good Skipper I was ridiculed - I was right
I said that we should keep Vitinha - I was right
I said we were wrong to sell Jota - I was right
I said Kilman needed more game time - I was right
I said Jordao would be a top class midfielder - he might get the chance to prove me right (or wrong) soon.

Sorry Gem, I know it's all opinion. But I can't see how Trincao is proving himself. I have re watched the Man utd match two more times, on the third paying specific attention to Trincao. There was very little of note,

So I'm not sure what Wolves fans are seeing in him?

I thought in his earlier showings he produced zilch apart from a goal against Forest in the cup.
Against United I saw better link up play from him and he looked a bit more robust and determined. I could be wrong (again) but I have finally seen the green shoots of a player that may yet blossom. I certainly hope so because it looks very much as though Traore will be going soon and Podence, Neto and Whang are all predominantly left sided forwards. Trincao seems to be happiest on the right so if he makes the grade he would be a useful addition. The jury is still out but I'm hopeful now.

I think Neto would fulfil his role. At this moment in time, I cannot see him being worth anywhere near the money being asked. In fact I just wouldn't sign him.

Having said that, Lage keeps picking him. Whether that is because he has no other choice, or is trying to give him every chance to prove himself, who knows?

When we got promoted I said I would be prepared to let Saiss go as I couldn’t see him making a Premier League midfielder. I did add that if he had a future with Wolves it would be as a defender, but cinci told me I was talking rubbish. So one way or another Saiss has proved all of us wrong.

Eh? Some shat on here today. I said i think Saiss is a better midfielder than a defender. Still think he may be. Think we missed his graft in the middle at times, particularly last season. At the end of the day though, we should just be grateful we didn't just give him away as you suggested.

I would have sold him Cinci.

Right from the start I said his best position was on the left side of a three. Amazing that some didn't see what was so obvious to a more experienced eye.

I don't know why the club don't employ me to identify fresh talent and bring new players in really.

On another note, I think wolfie needs watching when he scores the points in his fun comp. He has gone from bottom of the league last year and not being able to predict the weather, to top of the league Nostradamus of Florida in 6 months.

Police corruption? You decide for yourselves.

I have no problem in saying that I thought Saiss is a player that we needed to upgrade. I have no problem saying that I think he has earned a new deal. I have no problem in saying that we should still be looking to upgrade that position to allow us to eventually move to a back four, as I think that is what we need to be able to do eventually to get an extra attacker on the pitch and move forward.

I also this Saiss's best position is probably an anchor in midfield in front of the back four. Unfortunately for him, we have Neves, Moutinho and Dendoncker who also probably have that as their best positions.

This is the problem with our unbalanced squad. We have four players for one position, and none for others.
