The 2-2 draw today doesn’t really help either Liverpool or Chelsea. It does mean that we’ve managed to extend our lead at the top this weekend.
The only possible downside is the resilience Chelsea showed to come back from two goals, and the confidence that will give them for their next league game against us.
For Liverpool, following that result today in the back of the loss to Leicester will be hard to take.
City v Chelsea is still a must win / certainly must not lose game for City. Our lead isn’t that great that it can’t be clawed back. Too much of the season still to go for us to feel comfortable.
But the result today does add weight to my thoughts yesterday that we could soon be closing in on an 8th League title win.
Great game though between our two challengers to the title this season.

Pep was foolish enough to pick an out of form Sterling which meant Gundo as DM, really not his best position. He should have picked the team that had dealt with PSG so easily and City would in all probability have won. It was a silly mistake, but to be fair, Pep brings more success than failure so we cannot complain.
Regarding the PL, win the next 16 and I will feel confident, not before!!! We are still City after all.

adding more goals to the city team wont change the results you can only get 3 points per game, i think a striker will actually weaken their team as i think Lukaku does with Chelsea, good striker wrong system.

adding more goals to the city team wont change the results you can only get 3 points per game, i think a striker will actually weaken their team as i think Lukaku does with Chelsea, good striker wrong system.

The right striker wont weaken us. Replace Jesus on saturday with Kane and its a different game.
I haven't seen enough of Haaland to know if he will suit our style of play but the striker we need links up play but also takes his chances in the box and is on the end of crosses.

if the team are scoring 3 or 4 every game what is adding Kane going to achieve.
