Daylight

Not a lot. But, with some daylight between us
and the rest of the walking dead, what do you
want the club to do this window?

1) Sit tight, risk it, and play with what we have
2) Sign one or two impact players
3) Sign multiple impact players
4) Get in one or two impact loanees
5) Get in three or four impact loanees

Today's result was massive. I think this gives
the club some wiggle room in the window.

I wanted us to sign three to four loanees who
can help but won't screw us long term money
wise. After today, changed my mind. I'm now
leaning to minimal work this window.

I agree on CF. Bamford will be back soon.

Joffy, Tyler, and Rodrigo are good enough. I know we
haven't exactly lit the world on fire re goals. But have
a feeling that'll change soon. Again though, I trust the
club to do what's needed.

Anyone had a glance at Burnley's next few games?
They'll be lucky to get a point out of their next five.

We haven't had a full first team for ages, but those that have come in have done well, we might not have won many but the youngsters that have come in are learning!..

We all have to learn somewhere!..

When we get our first team back as one than these kids could be very important from the bench, funny but at least one is now being placed in our first team by many around here!..

Players coming in, Bielsa know's better than any what he want's and as been said lots off times sinse he came in, January is costly and players are mainly the leftovers, if any come in it'll be what he want's and where he want's it!..

It's good that being his problem and not ours!..

Getting players in is always costly. As I recall, we got Forshaw and Pablo in January, and I don't hear anyone complaining.

Low said we have 4 centre forwards…

Bamford
Rodrigo
Geldhardt
Roberts

————————

so what your saying is strikers arent good enough.

you cant keep signing players and not getting rid of any

so who leaves ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No they aren’t. I agree you can’t stockpile. However we need a goal getter in there. Rodrigo he plays as a 10. Roberts can’t finish and played decent football just behind the striker. Bamford is injured, streaky and just one player.

So do we REALLY have 4 strikers or just One?

The win and 3 points on Sunday were obviously vital and the manner of the victory also was pleasing. What I think we need to avoid is the Man U "we have turned the corner" syndrome. Facing the facts, Burnley are a very poor side so beating them at home was a must if we expect to stay in the PL.
Taking 4 points from a possible 6 against them and other teams like them again is something we need to be doing to stay up.

I really do hope that the players returning from injury will make the difference. I agree with the point made about Ayling at RB and 2 actual CBs playing as CB making us look a more balanced unit but again remember this was Burnley.....

Did you see those stats this week which said that we’ve taken something like 23 out of 24 points off the teams in a relegation position since we were promoted? That’s so important for our survival really, as they’re all effectively 6 point games.
Plus in the alternative ‘other 14 teams’ league, aren’t we about 5th? Just shows our results against the top 6 really aren’t that important in the scheme of things, whether 0-1 or 0-5.. The good thing about this squad is that a heavy loss doesn’t seem to drag them down …

i think we have two. bamford and gelhardt. plus two others that can cover in a jam.
but we have to get gelhardt some game experience, i think he'll start putting them away when he starts to feel more comfortable.
roberts is a player ive criticized in the past but just as a sole striker. dont think in the long run he has enough goals in him. same as ayling, one of the first names on the team sheet as a right back but only okay as an emergency cb. in a perfect world we would have two players for each position not lots of players who could do okay in several.
when we are completely healthy we're a mid table team that can beat anyone on our day. thats due to the genius of bielsa.
a clone of KP is what we are really lacking for depth strength.
