Darts

Say what you like about it.

It rarely fails to produce high quality entertainment.

The type of people who attend the darts are exactly the type of people I’d actively leave a pub if they walked in.

Snobbery at its finest

A snobby Aussie! Isn’t that an oxymoron?

Completecunts, other than Kylie and a bloke called Craig I used to work with about 15 years ago.

Was at my mates the other day. He’s 60 this year and every year since she hit the screens he’s insisted his long suffering missus buys him a Kylie calendar that he puts in the downstairs loo!

This year she had a printer friend knock up a glossy 2022 spiral bound ‘Kylie’ calendar on the cover but once he opened it it was pics of his missus on every month!

She got him a real one too.

Love the darts over Xmas. Missed the Saturday night action, which sounded brilliant, but last night was also quality entertainment.

Hope for another classic tonight, if they're not too fatigued

Been to the darts (World Grand Prix) loads of times over the years. And as one might expect from large sporting events, the audience has been extremely diverse.

and it is a great night too, been twice for that and to the premier league nights a few times which are also worth going to especially in the later stages.

Watching darts should be made mandatory over Christmas

It's like cricket, being in the crowd seems better and more enjoyable than the actual sport being played. Whether you class darts as a sport is another debate.

As for me, cricket was dire when I was at school, it's dire now, just c@ ck on every level. Zero interest in darts.

My last article (from 2015 ) related to darts/sport.

https://www.ja606.co.uk/articles/viewArticle/298403/

Most of the preconceptions about darts (not being a sport) are based on its UK heritage. Ie originated from pubs. While elsewhere around the world darts is played in leisure centres.
