Rashford

Would any club take him off us?

Absolutely dreadful. Sancho is just as bad but he deserves another 12 months to prove himself.

Rashford is an inside left.

Greenwood, I am not sure yet.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not when he started. He was a pact striker. I think it was Mourinho who changed it up when he signed Ibrahimovic

Rashford will come again as a Utd player I'm sure of it. No idea what's wrong with him but he seems troubled.

Maybe the Penalty miss and subsequent racist graffiti has eroded the little confidence he had left.

Don't think he can ever work in a 4-2-2-2 though. It's just not his game.

Yes, most PL clubs would, With the hope they can get him back to where he was, one of the best young attackers in the country

Agreed. I would have him at City in a heartbeat. Can't see him doing anything but excelling under Guardiola.

Would never happen though.

Like several of our other players (Greenwood, Sancho to a lesser extent as it's too early, Martial etc), Rashford looks to of hit a bit of a plateau and now somewhat lost on the pitch.

It comes down to the coaching and development of the player. For far, far too long, Rashford was afforded a kind of luxury role in the team where he'd be allowed to stay higher up and track back a little less than normal, as if he were Neymar or prime Ronaldo. We saw some gains in his overall output as a result but for me no real development of his skillset or decision making. He's gone backwards since, not aided by injuries. He burst onto the scene a much more modest, honest & hardworking style of player.

He's still explosive and has all the tools in his locker to recapture earlier form and promise but he really needs some proper coaching, a confidence boost and to play in a team that actually looks like they know what they're doing on and off the ball.

Our players are still very much in Ole-mode: freestyling it, improvising, individuals trying to conjure up moments.

It's not a fluke that so many teams with less talented individuals still play better football than we do. Brighton for example play some great stuff, defend pretty well and do so without any superstars. It's also not a fluke that so many excellent and promising players simply haven't kicked on with us in recent years, with some going on to be better players elsewhere (Depay, for eg).

Greenwood is becoming the next Rashford too. The United curse.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Two strikers who we've not played as strikers for years. That's how we've been ruining them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This. They've gone the way of Welbeck. Greenwood in particular would be an incredible waste if he winds up an average winger.

I also think the wages United pay these guys at such a young age have some effect on their performances. Martial at 250k, Rashford at 200k and Sancho at 350k are ridiculous wages for guys that haven’t performed at the top level consistently.
