So much of what he said during his time as manager of Man United was either frowned upon or laughed at and dismissed by pretty much everyone.
But he was right about Rashford's lack of development and basically a lack of a footballing brain. Not only has he not developed , he seems to have gotten worse.
He was spot on about Luke Shaw. He sure is overweight. And it's obvious when you see how slow and laboured he is with the ball.
He was right about wanting to get rid of Martial and Pogba because long-term they weren't going to be reliable but the board stepped in and basically told him to feck off out of the club . But now look where we are with those two players
And finally , remember how we all thought he was nuts for saying that finishing 2nd with this Man United side is his greatest achievement as a manager?
Well , then ... with everything we now know about the lack of ambition and desire at the club from the top down to be successful and to win major honours again , the toxic behind the scenes environment and the apparent culture of mediocrity , maybe he knew what he was saying.

When he signed his extension, Ed should’ve backed him. Although he wanted Maguire, Ed waits 18 months and gets Maguire anyway.
But Ed and co turned on Jose, and Jose threw his toys out. This was avoidable.

Wasn't this right after he had said that the fans shouldn't be coming to watch us on the US tour? It was commercial suicide. He had started making waves and was looking for a way out of the club and another pay off. he club had already let him sign 2 CBs and neither of them were really up to scratch. Why would they then give him £80m to spend on Harry when he was mouthing off and likely to be moving on? It is irrelevant that the next manager wanted Harry also.

Shaw was good in the Euros.
The kind of player that is better without a rest period because all he does is fill his face with junk food for a few weeks.

He's always mentioned as being one of the quickest in the squad by the players and in the opta stats. Not that you need that info - just watching the game you can see he is rapid.

And you can't sell a player that nobody wants to buy. The fee it would have taken plus the wages we are paying Pogba meant that we have been stuck with him. CVOID hasn't helped that situation the last couple of seasons.

Luke Shaw is very quick. He's also one of most direct, attacking players.
Under Jose, Rashford and Martial were a breath of fresh air compared to what they are today.
Pogba IS a cancer
If you want to chuck players under the bus (and why wouldnt you, they are happy to chuck the last 3 managers under the bus including the current one) .....pick on ones that deserve it.
