It’s hard to believe it’s been 4 years since we beat Arsenal (4-2) in the FA Cup. Whilst Arsenal have won the FA Cup and the Shield since, we have continued to boycott the Premier League by residing in the Championship.
Other than their recent loss to Man City they scored 14 goals in 3 games against Leeds, Sunderland and Norwich. Despite us both being ravaged by covid / injuries they are of course favourites to win.
Our kids vs their kids, two full-strength sides, will our new signings play? Either way, I hope it’s competitive and we give a good account of ourselves.
I’ve been impressed with our signings of Cook, Davis and Laryea (hopefully)...with Jed Wallace still a possibility. Unlikely that any will play though, so it might be a makeshift side with a few kids thrown in.
I think returning Tutu was the right move and hopefully the moves in allow Bong, Figs and Taylor to move on.
Add in Wallace and I’d like to see Lolley move on. Cafu and Carvalho surely close to their expiry date.
Prediction....no idea, but i’m going 3-1 to Arsenal. They surely want to win something this year, and without Europe and being 4th in the PL...their biggest prize is a CL spot or a couple of cops.

I firmly believe, if we had had this squad and manager at the start of the season, we’d be a top 2 side - unbelievable character
Also goes to show the fine margins of being in the PL and getting out of this League
We could easily hold our own up there
