Tomorrow`s game, whose going?

I shall be there, I like the FA Cup, whoever the opposition. Looks like our support is tanking though, doubt their will be 30,000 at the game, and the same for the semi-final with Chelsea midweek. Does seem like we were followed by quite a lot of tourist and fair weather supporters during the four years of CL, when Spurs could pull in 70-80,000 at Wembley. Shows how fickle support is. OK Covid could have a fair bit to do with it. But really the 2nd leg against Chelsea should be pulling in 55,000 minimum. CFC will be having a field day next week, although they only got 37,000 for the first leg.

Right back to tomorrow`s game. With Kane not playing, and Son injured, Spurs will be going into tomorrow`s game full rotation in all probability, usually ends in disaster, so what should we expect. When was the last game Spurs won, without both Son and Kane involved at some time. I cannot remember if they ever have won a match. In both their absences, who will play up front? Tomorrow has all the hallmarks of Morecambe putting up a plucky defence, and trying to nick a goal from a set piece or similar. Spurs defence tomorrow, who will start? None fill me with confidence, so rotating that part of the team, won`t make that much of a difference. Surely not going to start, a trio of Davies, Tanganga or Doherty again though?

Bryan Gil should get a full 90 minutes get him ready for Chelsea midweek. Dele will probably start, and probably sulk throughout the game, and produce next to nothing. Are Bergwin and Sessignon fit? Hard to call the starting XI really. Most Prem teams should be able to field a mixture of youth and squad players and easily overcome Morecambe, but we all know it doesn`t work like that with Spurs. Suspect a few big guns will have to be on the bench, to come on and win the game.

Anyway here`s to a win, and the start of hopefully progressing to another semi-final, and then meeting one of the big boys, and getting dumped out.

Hi Brummie i think Spurs are doing a family package (2 adults 2 kids) £40 or £50.

I agree with this sort of pricing, people who cant always get tickets for prem games will go tho so it's good they get to see a game.

hope you're all good son.

Yeah, it makes perfect sense, get the kids at a young age and hopefully you can get them for life!

All good mate, we'll have to have a chat sometime - it's been too long!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Brummie, get the kids into WHL for a match, and they will soon see the error of their ways, and end up supporting Chelsea.

I won't be surrendering my Spurs flag v Chelsea at all. They didn't kill off the game, so there is a remote chance of us overturning a 2 goal deficit. I know that the 11 we put out against them looked like Bambi on ice, specially Tanganga, bless him!

But Conte will fire up the players, and can see Kane being really up for this to shut them up.

Spurs at home are a different proposition and even Liverpool found out recently as did City at the start of the season.

Get behind the team and we could be the ones to go through! COYS!

I think Spurs have next to no chance against Chelsea. The only hope is just go all out attack. Forget about the defence, just play a couple at the back, they are all useless anyway, just flood the midfield with our so called attacking players, and hope Kane can score a few.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hmm, remind me of what you said before the return game against Ajax?

I feel though they are gettable, Just look at how many points they dropped against sides they should have beaten?
Some of our players were off form too which is staggering under Conte, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. Conte has read the riot act to them, trust me!
In training, some look shifty! They know who they are!
In Conte we trust!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The Ajax game was a complete fluke Morespurs, that will never happen again, outplayed for 90 per cent of the tie. That result was more a case of Ajax blowing it rather than anything spectacular Spurs did. They should easily have seen that tie out.

I get your optimism, and that is fair enough. But sometimes realism has to come into the equation. When was the last time Spurs even beat Chelsea, let alone overturned a two goal deficit?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We beat Chelsea in their own backyward only few years back siomething like 4-1 with Eriksen supershot on off the inside of crossbar and in and two from Dele. We have beatn them at our ground too 5-3 New Year's eve!
Don't listen to trolls who hoodwink you with stats.

Try sticking to the truth morespurs for a change rather than your memory selective narrative, that game was 1-3 not 1-4 as you would like to kid everybody it was, it is a fact that it was and it was the first time you had won at the Bridge in ANY game since 1990.

It is also a fact (unpalatable as it must be for you) that Spurs couldn't win at home against us in the League for 19 years (1987-2006).

However, you are correct that you won 5-3 at the Lane in 2015 and tbh I am taking nothing for granted with this game this week. Spurs are at home and could still realistically turn it around. Stranger things have happened and we really should have put matters more out of reach in the first leg.

Well, it was a thrashing right?

Chelsea by every right are probably years ahead of us, so whenever we give you a good thrashing, we make the most of it....DVD

I agree with your other assessments. Games between us are underpinned with a whiff colossal hatred.

3-1 aint a thrashing mate (it is decent, though tbf) otherwise I would have loads of them that I could present to you. 1-6 at the Lane was a thrashing in 1997 which was a game I was fortunately at and a thoroughly good day out to boot.

However Wednesday could still go very badly wrong for us as we both agreed on, we'll just have to see how it pans out.

In 2002 we lost the first leg of the league cup semi final 2-1 at Stamford bridge, we then battered them 5-1 at White hart lane.

It’s not impossible, just very very unlikely. At best I can see us maybe winning 2-1 on the night, I just don’t see us turning the tie round.
