Arrivederci Eric Bailly

Apparently off to AC Milan on loan with an option for them to buy. Another CB seen off by Jones the unsellable 😂

Was a good player at times but far too injury prone to be classed as a good signing. At least it means we’ll have more room for a new CB at the end of the season. Finally a movie for Kounde? Skriniar? Rudiger?

Jones is also a figure of fun because of all the brainless defending he’s shown over the years. Much like Bailly, but one is slagged off so bad that he actually feels bad and the other is a cult hero. Both have been stealing a living.

I don't really remember Jones making loads of mistakes, but maybe that is due to the passage of time since he was last available.

Carrick was our last genuinely successful cm signing.

I liked Herrera, he was decent. But you will probably get a fairly even split between United fans that would judge him a good/bad signing.

He wasn’t a genuine success. Most of our managers couldn’t get him out of the team fast enough.

Potential to be a top CB but just cant stay injury free long enough to be relied upon.

Fellaini?

Fellaini would get into this current midfield that’s how bad it is lol

Robson, Keane, Scholes, Carrick - none of them had the same velvet first touch as Fellaini (if we're talking chest control).

Cobblers

Apart from expecting two mediocre, championship level Brazilian wingers to be capable of playing full back in one of the most competitive high level leagues in the world, Herrera was THE worst high profile signing the club made.

He was clueless, directionless and pointless.

His major contribution being the sufficient winding-up of Gerrard (who was watching whilst he was on the bench) to then come on and immediately get sent off
