If Arsenal, as reported, only have

one Covid Positive player out, then the game on Sunday has to proceed. We are now getting to the ridiculous situation where clubs are hiding behind Covid because they have some injuries, or players away at the African Nations Cup.

I feel the game is going down the slippery slope of clubs just asking to get games called off, because their main players are missing. Surely that cannot be right. When has football ever ceased to be played because a club has a few players injured?

Clubs need to man up and get on with it. They cannot use the Covid excuse just because of a few injuries.

And if you still believe clubs can falsely claim to have covid cases, hats off to Arsenal for using the novel approach of applying for a postponement due to 1 positive covid case in their squad. 😅

You say Liverpool didn't pretend to have Covid and then proceed to say hats off to Arsenal for doing so?
It would be interesting to ask the company that did those test whether their results tally up with the club and Klopp told the world.

Is there is nothing to hide, then fine.

This is from BBC

Arsenal have requested the postponement of Sunday's north London derby with Tottenham at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium because of a lack of available players.
============================

This is an outrageous and audacious attempt by Arsenal to postpone the game to a time when they can field all their KEY players.

Because when they "Lack" of available players, they clearly mean "lack" of KEY players.

We all know the FA bend over backward to suit them, so I won't be surprised this request gets granted on the basis of "exception case".

Watch this space.
