The Glazers and us.

Some say they are OK, some say they are the problem, and that they have taken x millions out of the club.
On the money side I don't see them as the problem. They don't love football and bought us to make money. And why not? They are not sugar daddies but business men.
They have supported every manager in the club and spent a fortune on transfers and wages. They could have taken more out of the club if they wished.
So no complaints from me on the money part.

But on the football part it's down to them. Not knowing English football they should have researched and found a CEO who knew what he was doing. He would have recruited a top football director, décide the route, vision, we wanted and taken it from there.
If so I think wey would be challenging City right now.

Not sure if you know how much they've taken. It's one thing paying wages to directors etc, what they've done is crazy.

What's insane to me, is that Spurs spent that kind of money to get a brand new stadium and facilities etc. United have spent over a billion to get terrible owners. You should be protesting at every game, but you're so rich that it hasn't really hurt you like it would 99% of clubs.

A football club is more than a financial asset to perform a leveraged buyout of.

Accepting this is so weird if you're a genuine supporter

A football club is indeed much more than a leveraged buy out if you are me. I've been a fan for almost sixty years. Have seen tragedy, good times and bad.

The Glazers haven't, so I'm sure you understand the difference.

It's not just football, when Cadbury's were bought out by Kraft USA there were employees in tears on the TV.

And loads of others. Do you think the oil firms love football? Or is it to boost their standing in customers eyes. Plus make a profit in the long run.
There aren't many Jack Walkers, at least in PL.

I meant wages to players. They've taken two billion haven't they. Out of THEIR business, and still spent plenty on players.

I think what opposition fans don’t realise is that although we’ve spent loads of money in the last 10 years, it’s all generated by the club and the Glazers haven’t, and don’t invest money into it, like any other owner would do.

We were also self-sufficient before they arrived, they didn’t get us out of administration or pay of our debts or anything, it was famously quite the opposite.

The thing I can’t forgive them for is allowing Ed Woodward to be in charge of football affairs for so long, he doesn’t understand the game or Manchester United, imo. Two-to-three years in post, maybe, but eight!?
--------I agree with the last paragraph --------------------------------------------------------------

The oil firms are bad just in a different way, arguably worse tbh.

Club ownership in the Premier league is a real mess, that's not to say it hasn't helped raise the league's standards due to huge amounts of sports washing but it's at a huge cost in other ways

they've got you right where they want you. It's YOUR club.

It's been fifteen years since I went to Old Trafford.
I stream most matches.
I didn't feel it was my club then, and certainly don't now. Anymore than if I go to the cinema it's my cinema.

Like it or not, the football club is a business, hence them having a business man running it, and not a Rio Ferdinand or Gary Neville.

Yes they have spent the clubs money on finance, but so does every club.

I don't like them, but we could have had worse owners
