Lowfields

Lowfields you frustrate the hell out of me with your negativity and you may or may not have read a short football chant aimed at you. It was done with a jovial tongue in cheek intention but one poster has pointed out mental health and so I have decided to delete it. My apology if it has caused you any offence.

My end message remains the same though

Come on Lowfields join the three points party!!!

Post a positive message on here. Iā€™d love to see one from you

Kebab, a few weeks ago you commented on this thread:

Elland had talked about mental health.

Maybe worth thinking about that thread before publicly singling out and naming people ,trying to harass them and get others to pile in.

Have 5 stars from me.

Since yesterdays victory the aforementioned gentleman has been keeping a very low profile for some reason

I've filtered him. Obviously a wum. At least Donn accepts when he was wrong.

Respect for amending article

Kebablegs are you referring to me? only just seen 606 just now and unfortunately haven't read the chant. Would love to see it though, don't worry I won't be offended.

Yes it was a great result yesterday, with some good attacking football but also some dodgy defending. VAR was a disgrace as usual but overall we deserved the win.

You may say I'm negative but I just respond to the results and performance, the worse we are the more I'll criticise. Simples.

And just for the record re mental health.

I'm not one to cite mental health and stress at drop of a hat.

I've had my share of sh t to deal with in life, from pandemics, to health, to serious issues at my son's school etc etc but for me thats just life and I feel I can handle it for the most part.

We're all under pressure in some shape or form but social media provides a lot of opportunity for bullying and piling in, and what we might see as banter is not always interpreted that way by teh receiver, especially if they have a lot else on their plate at teh time.

I think mental health can be seen to be overly cited at times and it almost appear that its fashionable to bring it up and that people should be untouchable if its mentioned.

I think we dont always know someones situation and if they say they feel its affecting them, we really should give them the benefit of the doubt.

Not saying Lowlands was suffering from mental health issues, just don't like to see people singled out by name like that and like I said earlier, credit to kebab for reflecting and amending.

Hope that all makes sense.

Jonty & Lowfields, respect

I've said it many times, ja606, to me, is like being
down the pub with like minded people. It should be
treated as a welcome departure from our daily
lives. We get emotional at times. Because we all
love our club. We just have to try and steer clear of
getting personal. I've fallen foul of that a few times
over the years. Going all the way back to the original
BEEB days.

I do believe if we try and keep it all above board,
this board, our LUFC section in particular, is a great
place to hang out and talk Leeds & football.

We've lost a few posters over the last ten years or
so of Ja's existence. Which is a shame. Outside of
bluememe and that poster who I can never remember
but Jonty always does and lets me know. Even Eric
had his moments.

Basically, this daft site is a must read every day.
No need to attack people outside of the odd bit of
friendly or even semi-heated banter for the sake
of good, honest, club-loving debate.

And I'll add, I've had some run ins with LIW over
the years. But, he's a great poster. And knowledgable.
Love reading his incoherent posts. They're funny
but always spot on and insightful. Faith & Lubo aren't
afraid to have a pop at me. I don't take it personal
there either. Both good posters. A ton of you are the
same: you know you're stuff. But above all, you are
Leeds.
