You are mixing up FIFA awards with the Balon D'Or organised by a French mag, judges picked by the French and final decisions adjudicated by the French which lo and behold has had a decidedly Frenchy bias over the years. Hey ho, all a loada scheite anyway.

Aren't these awards decided over a calendar year rather than a season?

They also take performances at international level into consideration I think.

I watch him, and most of the time, he seems to have a pass completion rate of about 25%.😅
