Rangnick on performances in the FA Cup and Premier League games against Aston Villa: "We played a lot better in the league game, we were really good for the first 70 minutes and we have to build up on that. It is about showing similar performances for 90, 95 minutes; however long the game takes."
Rangnick on injury problems: "Cristiano [Ronaldo] and Marcus [Rashford] training yesterday, I was also convinced before Aston Villa they would be available and they weren't. [Paul] Pogba trained for the first time with the whole group yesterday. He showed what an incredible player he can be; this game is too soon but he could be an option after the break."
Rangnick says he has spoken to Anthony Martial after the French striker took to social media over the weekend to deny he refused to be part of the squad to face Aston Villa, as Rangnick suggested.
Rangnick on how to get the best out of Ronaldo, when asked if he can fit into his system or needs to be built around: "It isn't one or the other. Nobody has achieved what he has; he was not available in the last games, and trained again yesterday.
"He cannot do things on his own, but can do them as part of the team."
Finally, Rangnick also confirmed that Manchester United have no Covid cases and have not for a couple of weeks. He has called on the Premier League to deal with postponements in the "best possible way"

Quite a few rumours coming out over the last 24hrs that we're looking to appoint our manager for next season sooner rather than later. Similar to how City announced Pep way back when.
Would be a little strange if it's Poch or Ten Hag and we announce it given their clubs are chasing titles.
