Two-One Down in the 95th Minute!

Last night was up there with that famous night in Amsterdam. The reward last night was obviously not on par with qualifying for a CL final but the feeling was just as incredible.

The overall performance was the best from Spurs so far this season and it would have been a travesty if we had dropped points last night.

Credit must go to Conte. He has galvanised this team and he seems hell bent of getting rid of the Spursy disease! His substitutions were absolutely on point, as were his tactics.

The other thing that I really admire about him is the way he regains his composure for the post match interviews. Yes, he goes crazy during the games when we score a goal, but he is so focused on the task in hand and he never takes his eye off of what is needed in order for us to be successful. We are so lucky to have him and let’s hope the club realise this and back him accordingly.

One last comment. That smile on Harry Kane’s face last night was magic. He seems to have regained his love for the club (as well as his form) and that bodes well for us going forward. Yes, he wants to win trophies and yes he wanted to go to City, but I tell you what, he’ll never get the ecstatic feeling he got last night (and in Amsterdam) at somewhere like City! It means so much more when it’s with your boyhood club.

I get that it was a great win in terms of beating a team when losing in the 95th minute, but it was Leicester. In a game that at this stage means very little. To compare it to the Ajax game is insane. Maybe its a glimmer of hope for Spurs fans after a pretty awful 2-3 years but the reaction to last night feels way OTT in terms of what it actually means at the moment.

I know that you're probably on the WUM, but I was referring to the "feeling" of winning a game against all the odds. I'd like to know how many times a team, having been 2-1 down in the 95th minute of a game, go on to win 3-2 and, if that has happened before, how many of the winning team's fans were not excited about it.

Like I've said. I have no issue getting "excited" about it. What football fan wouldn't when watching that game. My comment is around the fall out from that. I've seen it mentioned as being alongside Ajax. I've seen it be called one of the premier league greatest results and I've seen it described as one of spurs best results of recent times.

No issues with that. If our fans got too excitied and said we are gonna do this and that, then that's a problem. It looks like harsh lessons from past have prevented any such statements and rightly so.

We all know who we are playing next but no harm in milking last night victory today.

None of that was mentioned in my OP. I said it was "up there with that famous night in Amsterdam". And I went on to clarify that it was in terms of how I felt when Bergwjin hit the winner. I also said that the game last night was "not on par with qualifying for a CL final". So I really don't know why you're complaining and indeed why you care so much about how happy Spurs fans are and how they express their happiness!

I enjoyed the finish to the game last night, but what I enjoyed even more was the arsenal fan girls crying on the live match thread

Now, Conte time.

Wee blues going well here, mate.

We play Cliftonville next Tuesday, could decide league, or let glens in?
