table properly this season. Just see Spurs usually are hovering aroundabout the 7th/8th position, and seemingly miles of the top two or three. Only after the Leicester win did I take a closer look, and see that remarkably despite the Prem season being a bit of write off, Spurs, if they were to win all their games in hand, then they would leapfrog Chelsea by a considerable few points, and be within six points of the all conquering Liverpool. How costly could the failure to beat 10 man Southampton be?
Spurs had a very poor September losing three games on the spin, but other than that have been reasonably consistent. Amazing really how constant negativity, myself included, goes to paint a picture that does not really show where Spurs are at. I had them down for 6th at best, but just maybe they can really put it in from now until the end of the season, and prove me and lots of others wrong.
Spurs just maybe are doing a tad better than most of us give them credit for, considering all the upheaval of injuries, managerial changes, the Kane saga etc, etc.
I think I am starting to get my positivity back, performances seem to be improving, so many chances now being created, players that I had written off seem to be rising to the challenge. So maybe Conte is working his magic. Nine Prem games unbeaten, back to back away wins. Just think what two or three new signings could do to this squad.
Amazing what a few weeks can do to football fans, from pessimism to optimism, something to build on going forward. Hopefully get a few of the injured players back, and give the second half of the season a real go.

Haven`t really taken a look at the Prem

I noticed that no one, even our fans have mentioned that inspired substitution by Conte, to put on Bergwijn who the scores 2 goals to win the game with minutes to go.
One of the best inspired piece of management I have ever seen!

I’d imagine that the failure to win stuff under Poch when you were so close and the conditions were so favourable must have had a lasting impact on some fans. The league title lost to Leicester must have felt like a once in a lifetime opportunity for some.
That said, Conte looks like he could put you back in a strong position. Only problem is his dismal cup record.

Totally agree about the negative and biased media. Sky Sports are the worst for it, and they STILL haven't issued an apology for the part played in the Harry Kane saga last summer.
When Spurs win all their games in hand we'll be ahead of a "brilliant" Chelsea side and just behind "one of the best teams in the world" according to the media, and I for one can't wait to laugh at them all for writing off Spurs.

Why would they apologise? They did their job…. Stir it up and create a lot of money for skybet. SSN is a vehicle to make money with skybet. It’s to their advantage to create and maintain uncertainty around player futures, the bigger the better

sky havent had a stake in skybet since 2018

The refs shafted us against Southampton, 2 perfectly good goals taken away and subsequently 2 extra points, come the end of the season I wonder how vital this will be

Sky have done a piece on something like this with picture of Conte bringing on Bergwijn and under the heading of The greatest substitution performance 💪

Not sure it was inspired Morespurs. It was a natural sub to make with Spurs chasing the game and only 15 minutes to play. I doubt even Conte thought he would score two goals in a minute to win the game.

I’d imagine you lot felt similar when Rodgers and Gerrard blew it for you. But you turned it around with a top manager - no reason we can’t as well
Additionally we then made the CL final - something no one in their wildest dreams predicted. What both experiences have shown us is that we should dare to dream

I hate it the way rival supporters say Spurs lost the title to Leicester. Spurs were never top for the entire season as I recollect. So how could they lose a title, when they were never top?

My favourite one is where rival fans say we bottled the title when we finished second to Chelsea. We were 11 points behind at Xmas and weren’t even talked about as a title contender until mid March. Everyone else gave up but Spurs performed strongly - winning 12 of our last 13 games and finishing 7 points behind Chelsea - apparently that’s bottling it
