If we can get any respectable fre for him, I'd sell him to whoever is silly enough to part with cash

Newcastle have cruised up both times they were relegated. They even bought first team prem players like Matt Ritchie when they went down. Nothing would change this time, only issue they'd have is keeping players like ASM but even then, I reckon they'd only loan him out and bring him back when they come up.
Biggest mistake they made was bringing in Eddie Howe. Has to be the most overrated coach out there. People talk about what he did at Bournemouth like he didn't spend tens of millions during his tenure there. And his squad when they went down was terrible despite the money spent.

Yeah Howe was totally the wrong appointment. In Steve Bruce they already had the type of manager you bring in to save a club from relegation. A few new players in January and I think he would have kept them up.

I’d sell him to Newcastle to ensure they go down. The guy has done nothing in 4 years to show that he could rediscover his form. He has been championship standard whenever he has been on the pitch.

He is already on great money for not playing. He probably has a stake in some of the fashion brands he promotes as well.

Two years left on his contract. He is probably happy training for a couple of hours, then playing on his game console for the rest of day.

You could be right. Depends what he wants out of the game. It'll be a while anyway before Newcastle inevitably overtake us, whether relegated or not. By the time they do Dele will be old or sold, so it won't be a great move for him from a football point of view.

Players like Deli, hanging around like an unwanted boil, is the reason we won't be investing in any new players. Levy needs the money we would get from off loading him ( and others ) before he will buy,
