Off the back of the Declan Rice conversation (get better for cheaper)
Can anyone name great deals made by other clubs in recent windows that we should have done instead of signings we have made?
For example Jota, over maybe Cavani or Ronaldo.
Better alternatives

Woods instead of Ronaldo ….
In all seriousness think Danny Ings would have been a great signing for United
And I’m bias but I think you should have gone for Romero at centre back ….he is going to be some player in my opinion

What point is the OP trying to make? That we haven’t made bad signings compared to other clubs?

I’m not sure on Ings. He’s good but wasn’t amazing last season and hasn’t pulled up any trees at Villa. He could have been decent for us but I’m not sure he’d have improved us if you get me.

Its just interesting to see who we as fans think the alternatives could have been.

Dias instead of Maguire. We were linked with him that summer.
Numerous right backs over AWB.
Grealish instead of Donny, Amad and Pellistri.
We could go on for ages.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dias - Agreed.
Name the RB's
Grwalish, maybe. WHere would he play for us even if we could have got him over City. Also, hardly a bargain.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pereira before his injury although that was instead of Dalot. I’m sure there would have been a chance at getting Cancelo at some stage. Maybe even Max Aarons.
Grealish could have rotated between left wing and number 10. Maybe Rashford and Bruno wouldn’t have been ran into the ground then.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Rashford hasnt been ran into the ground this season. And i doubt Grealish would have left Villa for us.

Should have resigned Lukaku, in fact it's not too late, please feel free

Don’t ever say such things.

Getting rid of Lukaku was one of the few great decisions this club has made in recent years.

We already had dalot when we got Awb. Dalot is better than Awb who is garbage

*torress @ 25 milll > sancho
*Varane is one of my fave cbs wouldn't swap him for anyon maybe vvd, maybe
*laporte and dias are also infintely better than maguire and cheaper too
*thomas was literally available for free and had been flirt with utd but all we wanted was AWB
I coul go on and on but like I said it is pretty depressing. And I have only said the obvious ones there are others with lesser profiles that would have done better jobs than some of the big profile players some are obssessed with.
*actually typed this up after 4 comments but couldn't be bothered to post until now
