Positives

I thought our ball retention and control of the game was far better today.

They rarely looked like scoring and De Gea had very little to do which hasn’t happened much this season.

I had my doubts over Dalot but he’s looking like he could now become a very good player. Fred was quietly good again also I thought.

The attacking play needs to improve and hopefully a rejuvenated and confident Rashford can add to that.

But you’d expect Ronaldo to score goals given the service, that’s not true of Greenwood.

Either way the issue is the lack of creativity because we don’t have a striker that will create for themselves consistently. It’d be good to get such a player, but not many exist so the other issues are clearly more important.

I’m not sure that’s true anymore. I’d have more trust in Greenwood to score a good chance these days.

The lack of creativity is the most concerning issue, and has been for a while. Even last season a lot of our goals were due to individual brilliance rather than well crafted team goals. But this season we’ve suffered from a lack of form and availability from Rashford, Bruno, Pogba, Shaw and Sancho.

That’s a bigger concern for me than Ronaldo being average, because the alternatives are, and have been, average this season when played up front.

Surely you mean bang average. That bang is de rigueur at the moment

I wouldn’t, plus I don’t have trust that Greenwood would get many good chances as his movement is poor.

But either way the issue is with creativity. It’s why we need Pogba back.

Pogba never seems to come back from injury up to speed.

Well Man Utd are 5th for expected goals and 5th most big chances missed.

That’s not very good, Hafi.

We have to hope Spurs suffer a dip in form when they have to play all there games in hand in quick succession Remember us at the end of last season having to play like 3 games in a few days. Near impossible to win with schedules like that. To make it fair they should do the same with Spurs although them not being in europe will help.

No Spurs are a big threat. Just wished they kept Nuno a bit longer. If anything if Spurs don’t get top 4 from this position it will be a big bottle-job by them.

That’s the most sense you’ve made in years, Hafi.
