Dalot and telles

Looks like these 2 have forced their way past awb and Shaw, awb needing dropping a while ago and it's looks like the gaffer prefers these two over the English lads, I feel dalot has slotted in better than telles who seems to get caught out of position quite a bit in comparison, how far can these two take us, are they the attacking fullbacks you need now to actually compete for honours?

Shaw for me is grossly over rated and we could do better, same goes for at least half of this squad of pretenders

I don't think he's overrated. He's given plenty of stick when he doesn't perform. He was praised last season because he was arguably the best left back in the league. That wasn't unfounded praise. His level has dipped this year and he isn't being praised. Seems fair to me

To compare Telles to Shaw is laughable.

Try watching United. Live if possible, where it will be quite obvious.

These are not the droids you're looking for.

Shaw is a different level of
Player to Telles.

On his day, I think Shaw is untouchable.
He’s shown what a quality player he can be, but he’s the kind you need to keep putting an arm around.

Telles has impressed, and I’m just made up that, them 2 having a run of games and a decent one at that.
I hope it lights a fire under AWB. But his position is under threat.
Shaw just needs to get his head straight, keep eating good, cos you know he’s that guy, once he retires, his waistline is gonna expand like no mans business!

Shaw is much better than Telles - both defensively and attacking. We’ve really missed his charging runs. AWB has never been great attacking but, worse than that, his defensive game has regressed. Dalot isn’t the answer though. He’ reminds me of Alex Buttner. Shear chaos.

Shaw looks like he plays within himself 90% of the time.

Don’t really rate Dalot, he’s okay, a good back up but I don’t think he will ever be good enough.

His delivery is poor, his defensive positioning is poor, he isn’t great in the air. I feel he’s just a better fit than AWB for a side without any width so stands out a little more.

Telles has his limitations and again, if we’re to compete we need a top LB, which could be Shaw imo.

Dalot is actually decent in the air, so is Telles and I think it's shown in recent games. They're both better in this respect than their English counterparts.

All they have done is emphasise how comedic is their claim to be defenders.

That game against Brentford was the perfect example of how poor they are.

Shaw is a better defender than the two of them combined. And granted AWB isn't brilliant, nor the long-term answer, but Dalot is a total liability.

Just gotta hope the defensive ineptitude of dalot and telles isn't too costly before the are rightly moved on.
