weekend roundup

I never enjoy the opening games of the scottish cup, always potential for an upset, usually quite drab and always a couple of hammer throwers in there to "get stuck in".

pleased we came away from the win, infuriated that mcgregor is facing time out now and we're lucky it was only him.

The tackle on Guchi is an odd one, the gut goes in honestly i think and guchi catches the aftermatch but he absolutely does him and could have broken his ankle.

GG took his goal well but for me he still looks like the type of player Ajeti is, if you get the ball to him in the 6 yard box he'll get on it, but he won't do much else, hoping i'm proven to be wrong on this.

It's typical of our luck that we sign 3 players and are still going to be short about 5 for the next 3 games, just one thing after another really.

2 things doing the rounds on twitter today, one is that mikey johnston might be going to aberdeen, hopefully its just a loan and we get to see what this lad is really made of, theres talent in there but i think he's struggling with pressure and fear of getting injured again.

the second is that clancy has been "sensationally" binned for this weeks round of fixtures, i see some celtic fans have dived right into this as some some or consequence of rangers talks regarding his performance last week, because its customary that refs are asked if they can work 3 days in advance i'm sure.

idiots.

ALLOA's Mouhamed Niang has been hit with a notice of complaint by the Scottish FA.

The on-loan Partick Thistle midfielder was shown a yellow card for his challenge on Celtic new boy Yosuke Ideguchi.

The tackle has been widely criticised by fans and pundits, with the Japanese midfielder being forced off injured.

But Niang could now be hit with a retrospective ban with the SFA compliance officer looking into the tackle from Saturday's Scottish Cup clash.

A fast track hearing will be heard this coming Thursday.

Complete tangent but in this month's Which, electric cars got slated for reliability, specifically battery replacement.

Audi etron 43%
Audi etron sportback 40%
BMW i3 18%
Tesla X 18%
Tesla S 11%

and so on.

I know it is new tech, but these are huge numbers for one problem on the single most expensive part in the car.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The bigger problem with the e-tron is leaky sunroofs and the resultant water ingress which can cause all sorts of problems with electrics. 😡

I’ve got the E Tron 55 thing until my own car arrives and barring range limitation I’ve enjoyed the car immensely. No issues at all with batteries or leaky sunroofs or anything else for that matter. Better than most cars I’ve ever had.

Guy in our work has the etron - has noticed the range starting to drop a bit.

He was actually considering using one of his relative's diesel car on a run to the north east rather than use the etron cause of the hassle with range/charging
