FROM THE TELEGRAPH
Former Newcastle owner Mike Ashley has a strong interest in buying the club, with representatives from his group shown around the Pride Park stadium and training ground this month.
It is understood that Lee Charnley, who was a managing director and the chief executive at Newcastle, has been lined up to take a similar role if the Ashley bid is successful American investors Colin and Adam Binnie, plus a group fronted by former Derby chairman Andy Appleby and ex-Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey, are the other two parties.Derby must provide the EFL with proof of funds to finish the season before February 1, or risk expulsion from the league
I think I prefer Ashley
Know nothing about the Binnies, Appleby did nothing for me last time, only him and his cohort that went to Man City, took a lot of money out
Ashley has a lot of critics but he put the Geordies on a sound footing over the years and knows what it is about an what's needed
What was the name of his cohort that went to Man City
I remember he took thousands of pounds each month as a consultant
So who would you prefer

And now it seems the FA will want a slice from our non-existent pie (according to Hackett) for the fracas after the Florest game. Forest's pie to be reduced also.
Let's hope Grabban's assault on Thompson is dealt with as well.

Both teams failed to control their players, a fine for both will happen.
Grabban received a yellow, which was appropriate.

As the ref. saw the offence and took wholly inappropriate action Chicago, there is nothing more that will be done.

Cunning Plan
If TL has to go to save us Could we do a deal with the buying club that we novate ( fancy legal term for moving an undertaking on ) the compo claims of the smoggies and Wycombe to the buyer . The novation of the risk = the fee
That way we get the mafia style claims off our back . The fee as such was always going to be small in cash terms . The buyer pays nothing initially and hires a £20 an hour lawyer to blow the claims out of the water . TL gets a crack at getting promotion . TL becomes a club legend for taking the hit to save the club … thereby making up for past indiscretions .
You might say this is fantasy legal stuff ,,, but The Smoggies started down that line .. so ggkktyorrpy to them
I declare myself a genius to have come up with a plan so cunning, you could cut your hand off with it !

Well for more fantasy, after the shenanigans at the weekend match, obviously the fault of Forest, they will have to replay it against the newly formed Mike Ashley All Stars at the newly renamed Sports Direct Stadium, their one and only domestic league game before they take their rightful place in the ESL, so there!
