Diaz (pretty much) signed, so Salah next?

I very much doubt we’ve signed Diaz to keep Salah happy….

Cant believe salah would ask that tbh.

I suspect its more to do with length of contract since it likely salahs last big contract; hes 30 odd so unlikely to get another huge contract after this one.

When a player hits 30 the contract is always a tough one

29/30...point is the same.....his last big contract. As i understand it from former players its not about money but mainly contract length at this age.

Purely a guess from my part but i suspect salah wants say a 5yr contract and liverpool probably only offering a 3....

Henderson was 31 and got a 4 year contract

Not about duration. Salah wants 400k. Hopefully he gets it because he deserves it.

Not saying that we signed Diaz to please Salah. But IMO it is a valid point to consider for a player entering final years of career to consider if club’s ambition matches that of the player’s.

We can't really judge that until the end of the summer window but Diaz is a fantastic start.

Klopp will never buy a player to make another happy.

The guy has pace and power and an eye for a pass. He skinned our players and city players in the cl and is only at Porto a short while so fits the strategy of ignoring the big fancy name and vast agent viper nest and finding value.

If salah wants to sign he can sign.

If not he can be replaced just like suarez, torres, fowler, Owen, rush, keegan and so forth and so on.

There's always another player and always aging legs.
