Transfer Window

It's been almost 24 hours since we could all talk absolute rubbish concerning the transfer window, but don't worry we only have about 4 months to wait until the next one opens. We didn't have an article on this January window, but luckily we did have an article on the 5th round cup tie against Norwich in which everyone contributed views on the game, almost 1000 comments so far, such is the importance attached to this match.

To fill the void I have created a new article in which we can all share our views on the new window which will be open soon. I know posters will have many things to discuss but here are a few suggestions to get the ball rolling:

Do we have a squad which is far too small, or possibly far too large?

Should Traore stay at Barcelona, or come back to us to warm our bench until his contract expires?

Do we have any home-grown players, bearing in mind you can't get into the squad unless you are Portuguese?

Should we play a back 4, a back 5, or maybe a back 10?

Should we only sign the right players, or why not break the mould and only sign players we really don't need?

Is Fabio Silva worth £35m, £35 or 35p?

Can Joao continue to play at the top level until he's 89?

Is there any chance we can finish next season somewhere in the top 20?

And finally:

Did poster A say something derogatory about B or was it about C, or maybe it was D that made that comment in the first place but he was referring to E? (Feel free to replace A-E with posters of your choice.)

If none of those topics floats your boat then we can always fall back on the tried and tested discussion about whether Mick McCarthy is the best manager since sliced bread and should we sack Bruno to get Mick back?

I certainly won't be tuning into this thread for the next 4 months or so, so fill your boots.

Agreed, although Ebbsfleet are unusual and have Kuwaiti money behind them, they built a new stand several years ago at a cost unusual for that level

Yes I remember them having some success and getting to the National League. Seems like they have some chance of getting back there again this season

It seems unfair if Moulden went to a club at that level and didn’t get games but then it seems unfair on the other keeper they signed recently if he loses his place. I know Moulden is rated very highly by the academy staff and I suspect in agreeing to him going to a non league team that there will be a guarantee of him getting starts

Traore is training with Barcelona towards his potential debut at the weekend against Athletico Madrid. The President of the club has assured him that he is very much part of their plans beyond the summer

Let’s hope they work out the best way to get the most from him

Jimenez has now recovered from his calf injury and hopes to start for Mexico in their World Cup qualifier at home to Panama. This game kicks off at 3am on Thursday morning uk time. Even if he proves his fitness it’s highly unlikely he will appear for Wolves on Saturday after the long flight back here

is Hwang fit?

I don’t think he is quite ready yet. But Wolves are very cagey on fitness issues

I would imagine the front 3 on Saturday will be Trincao, Fabio and Podence
