Nice short documentary about two footballers who couldn't make it through academy, including our own Devonte Redmond.

It shows how the youth sides have been overlooked by our club since sir Alex gone - the fact that our young player found out he was released through the news.
On a bigger picture, I don't think the U-23 league is a good idea. For young players after 18 to play with 23 year-old + some older players is a very big jump. And if you're 23 y.o, you should be playing in the first team or think about moving somewhere else for your development. So it's better to set the league as U21 imo, so the club need to set plan for players at younger age.

I agree about the 23's. It's a really strange league and results can be all over the place at times. I think players would be better off going on loan to play in the proper leagues than in this.
I do go watching them sometimes as they play at Leigh which is only 10 mins down the road for me.
We play Westham tomorrow. My Dad wants to go but I can't be bothered this weekend with us playing at home tonight too.
