Every time I think of Boro at OT I think of them being the last team to beat us in the 98/99 season and that was in December 🤯

We went unbeaten in three comps for the next 6 months and won the treble. That season will never be bettered by any side.

I remember them knocking us out of the cup on at least one occasion since then too. Andy Campbell (who?) scored against us from some random memory I have

A Laurent Blanc mistake, I think, led to one of the goals. He left a bell to go through to the keeper and someone latched onto it. That Villa comeback was amazing - one of my absolute favourite United games.

I do love how us football fans can recollect who scored a goal and how 20 years ago but I barely remember what I had for dinner last week.

That’s the one. Ruud came off the bench - I think the idea had been to rest him. Scored the equaliser and the winner, where he rounded Schmeichel.

I did an online quiz recently where I had to name the United squads for every year since the start of the PL. Found I could remember most of the fringe players around 1998-2004 for had to really strain those synapses to recall e.g. who was our starting right back a couple of seasons ago.

Yeah, but we’re only talking about 2002. It’s not like that was 20 years ago.
