Just picked up my nearly 5 yr old playthrough of GTA San Andreas while recovering from illness.

The Zero missions are an absolute piiissstake. No wonder I left it there.

You can land the plane and shoot the vans from the ground. It helps immensely.

I could shoot the bikes and vans no problem, it was getting back to the roof before the fuel ran out that was the problem. Eventually did it on my 17th (yes, I counted) try.

That’s nothing. Play dark souls . 17 tries on bosses are the norm. took me about 40 odd to beat the pontiff boss.

Old tomb raider games were awesome

i still gotta PS2 with Toom Raider anniversary edition, is grate

plus GTA 3, Vice City, St Andrea n Liberty City Stories, ICO, Metal Gear Solid 3 etc

Agree on IV. Was peak late-2000s melancholy in its plot and setting. Liberty City wasn't fun to drive around - it all felt the same. After San Andreas having jetpacks and fighter jets ending up with just a helicopter for aerial transport was extremely boring. It just forgot to be fun.

Saints Row 2 kicked its backside in every conceivable manner. Even the music.

I remember the release date so well. It was meant to come out in Feb 2007 but got delayed a year. Then in Feb 2008 it was finally given an April release and I ordered it right away from Amazon to get to me on release date.

The first Amazon seller two days before cancelled my order as he didn’t have enough units left.

I reordered it from another Amazon seller. The day of release came, the day I would get the game, and I heard a parcel thud down from my letterbox in the hallway. Here it was! The next gen GTA!

I left my room and went downstairs only to discover it was a f*cking home insurance quote and not GTA IV at all! Days went by and then the Amazon seller AGAIN cancelled my order due to lack of stock.

Eventually I got the game about a week after release from Amazon (finally) and I was SO UNDERWHELMED! Why couldn’t you fly a plane? Where were the jet packs? Why can’t you go into any buildings? Why is this annoying cuhnt Roman constantly calling me???

Boring plot and boring protagonist too. It just all felt lifeless to me. It genuinely felt like a step backwards from San Andreas and far less engaging/immersive.

Honestly though why couldn’t you fly planes? Was there a reason??

may b becuse of 9/11?

7 years later?? Doubt it.
