Basing that on Phillips helping us stabilise in Midfield and turning a couple of losses into a draw and a couple of draws into victories.

So difficult to judge as its been so inconsistent - will base it on where we are now which is a point per game giving us 38 and safe but just.

Well the first of my predictions came true - the Geordie men took 3pts against Villa. Straight after we gifted them 3pts I said I thought it would give them the momentum they needed to put a good run together, and sure enough...
I'm pretty confident we're safe but I think the two teams likely to get dragged down into a relegation battle are ourselves and Brentford.

I think you are right, The bar codes have just won 3 on the bounce, including our gift of 3 points. I can see them stabilising now and keeping clear of the bottom 3. Our best hope is that Burnley, Norwich and Watford keep doing as badly as they have so far. Brentford could fall down into the danger zone as well with ourselves and maybe Everton.

We should have enough to survive but it is going to be a dog fight I feel

I agree. The next three matches (Man Utd (H), Liverpool (A) and Spurs (H) look distinctly tricky given our current form. I'm looking at teams below us, rather than above. What's happened to the West Ham performance?
