Statistics by Whoscored

Been a while since I posted one of these, but here it is. Its a website that specialises in statistics to profile teams across the globe. It states all teams strengths, weaknesses and traits based on the stats that it has. The link below is ours. The U23's also have one if interested. Have a look and see if you agree with how you've perceived our performances this season against the calculated stats of the players and team.

For a quick glimpse, the top 5 performing players this season based on touches, assists and all contributing factors that form a match rating are;

1. Raphinha
2. Cooper
3. Dallas
4. Hjelde (rating based on 2 games)
5. Meslier

We have 3 strengths and 8 weaknesses based on this season.

i hate stats. they dont tell the whole story. raph must have been really ahead because he hasnt been anywhere near our best player last couple of months.

He's on 7.13, all the rest are on 6. Something. The only important stat is the league table but that's not exactly nice to look at right now.

Another stat that means nothing is that our win percentage when Phillips plays is way higher, but I doubt that would be true for just this season.

Also, surprisingly Raphinha hasn’t scored in open play since October against Norwich.

Not to be a d_ck, but the only stats that matter are W/L/D.

Something that would change those stats would be if we'd played the whole season with a full strength side!..

But thats the problem that the bring downs never look at!..

Be interesting to see the stats if Phillips and Bamford were playing

They are without doubt our key spine and most important players

I'd rather not lose Raph but reckon we will in the summer. I can accept that because although he's a great player our success hinges more on Philips and Bamford for me

Obviously stats do matter. That being said, WhoScored's 'ratings' are notoriously unreliable.
