If Ralf manages to do the unlikely and finish in the top 4, I think he would deserve another season. He's been unfortunate to inherit an unfit squad, especially considering his pressing style.
A preseason to get the players fit, clear the deadwood and a few signings, and we could have a good team.
Of course, this will depend on what managers are available in the summer. If we can't land a top manager, we could just stick with him as anyone else would at best be a sideways step, as well as them having to start from scratch in assessing the players and what we need.

Pochettino, for example, might win the CL and stay with PSG. He may also be someone that Madrid are interested in. I know you are desperate for Ten Hag, but it would be remiss of the club to not approach multiple candidates to see what plans they would have for the club and their suitability for the role. That just can’t really be done right now, so I don’t think we can really be too critical of the club in this regard.

Obviously it would be great to land Ten Hag. But if not, getting a manager a level down would just be a sidestep. Maybe Ralf doesn't want to continue, but if he does I wouldn't mind—at least he has the philosophy to build a good team.

Luis Enrique is an interesting one. I’ve never really known what to make of him because of the players he inherited.

I like him. I think he got Spain playing some decent stuff at the Euros with a youngish squad and he also won the treble with Barca (admittedly with Messi, Suarez and Neymar but he did get them to work well) which shows he can be up for the job.
Inkinoo - I think Ralf knows we need to improve. He's not going to come out and say his players are poor even though he is a pretty honest guy it seems.

Ralf with his first window approaching said "now is not the time to talk about new players", from that moment on he's complicit to this mess.
