36 Goal combinations between the two of em.
Matched only by Lampard & Drogba in PL history.
Thought it worth a mention.
Harry & Sonny setting records.

Is it just me or are these numbers strangely low to be a record? If you spend say 7 or 8 years with the same club as Son/Kane and Drogba/Lampard have, isn't a goal combination going to exist? If you break it down then if you're together 8 years then that means on average you've combined 4.5 times per season to achieve 36 now. Is that spectacular?
This record gets wheeled out on Sky Sports whenever Kane and Son produce together but, whilst it's nice, the figures seem weirdly low.

But it’s specifically goals when the two of them have combined?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Which you'd kind of expect, particularly in Kane and Son's case where they both play up top. Maybe it's deceptive and the figures downplay the achievement but if take the figures above then you're saying that over a 38 game season, they've averaged just over 2 assists to each other per season for 8 years (that's an average taken from Kane/ Son and Drogba/Lampard). Maybe I'm reading it wrong but I think this has more to do with longevity than it does any spectacular partnership.
That said, I'm surprised two of Mane/Salah/Firminho aren't in the list already. I guess most of their assists come from full backs which shows a shocking level of selfishness from the top end players.

I think in this era it's unusual for players to stay together for 7 or 8 years

Given how stagnant this squad has become, with little in the way of player turnover, I wouldn't mind betting we have the monopoly on player combinations all over the pitch.
Combining for the most mistakes - Sanchez/Davies
Combining for the most sideways passes - Hojbjerg/Skipp
Passes back to the goalkeeper Lloris/Any other defender

Yeah I think it’s more down to longevity than anything else. I bet Sutton & shearer, or Cole & Yorke to name but 2 would have smashed this record had they stayed in same team for longer

Strange that 36 is the record. Feel like Son & Kane have linked for way more goals than that
