As things stand we are going to have more away games than Rangers. By the time the split comes the following is who we have played Home and Away.
Current Top 6
Rangers - AHA
Hearts - AHA
Hibs - AHA
Dundee Utd - HAH
Motherwell - AHA
Potential top 6
St Mirren - HAH
Aberdeen - AHA
Livingston - AHA
Ultimately if St Mirren and Dundee Utd do not make the top 6 then we will play 2 of the top 6 away for a 3rd time. Going off home/away form then it again puts us at a disadvantage.
I know this isn't new and you can't predict the top 6 at the start of a season but it is getting beyond a joke. The concept of the split for me only makes the relegation battle tighter.
The ideal scenario is St Mirren to finish above Motherwell. If it stays as is then I'd probably prefer a 3rd trip to Fir park than Tynecastle or Easter Road

The split is currently looking most unfair on Dundee. We will have to play 5 teams that are above us when St Johnstone will only have to play 4 of the teams above them. For Ross County it is even easier. They will likely only have to play 3 of the teams above them. Should more be done to ensure that fixtures are not heavily weighted based on the position you finish? I thought this was meant to make it more fair??
