Good times and bad times

Under Poch in the good times we consistently got results against the so called lesser teams and had a really bad record against the big four. Now we occasionally get a great result against the big teams but struggle against the relegation fodder that used to be almost guaranteed points for us. Feels like we have regressed to 90s Spurs when the same was true of our team, that we were great on our day but were unreliable in the easier games. You certainly get a lot more points and finish higher in the league if you can do well against the bottom 14 teams!

Incredible that Dier at CB was ‘world class’ at the weekend…can’t comment on Sandy’s thread cos he filtered me for calling out Dier at CB like he is tonight. Some come to it late even at his age.

If he goes, so does Kane, no question which puts Levy in a fecking dreadful position. He’ll get absolutely torn apart for this. It’ll be untenable. Every single decision he’s made since he moronically decided to sack Poch 3 years ago has been appalling.

I don’t blame Conte for wanting to leave. I certainly don’t blame Kane either given all he’s done for us. This is on the owners, pure and simple. We cannot put up with this any longer. Most expensive tickets in the league and for what? He’s a fecking cvnt of the highest possible order. He’s worse than Mike Ashley. At least he had the guts to say he didn’t want to invest further in a club he wanted to sell. Levy pretends he’s got the clubs best interests at heart. Not overspending is to ‘protect the long term financial security of the club.’ Give over you fecking nob.

We need to start protesting properly. I mean properly. Boycott games. It’s the only way.

Oh and don’t come at me saying Poch needed to be sacked. He had enough credit in the bank to at least be given the chance to turn it around, even if the form was poor.

Take it from me. The glazers have been untenable since day 1. No amount of protesting or what have you is gonna make a blind bit of difference.

"struggle against the relegation fodder that used to be almost guaranteed points for us."

That's always been the problem; apart from that short golden period when Walker and Rose were lethal as full-backs in a back four but also wings-back in a 5 with Dier slotting in as an extra CB for forays forward. Back then you could be confident Spurs would prevail against the likes of Burnley, Wolves and Southampton. That side shares a lot with Liverpool now. Walker/TAA, Rose/Robertson IMO.

Conte's system relies on two effective wing-backs. We definitely don't have that now, although Sess may well evolve into one. But if Spurs manage to sign a couple of electric wing-backs, then maybe these typical frustrating and depressing results might become fewer and far-between.

Levy appointed Conte to try and polish turds because it is way cheaper than buying quality players.

Levy knows Conte would want to spend, he was just hoping with Conte's ability he'd be able to achieve top 4 with this lot while spending conservatively in January, and then try and push the boat out a bit more in the summer.

With top 4 looking more unlikely I'm not sure how it will go down now.

If you read Conte's comments he sounds like he is ready walk. The Leeds game will be crutial. Win and it maybe gives him a little hope for one more game. Lose or draw and that could be the final straw for him.

He has admitted he is not going to stick around just for the wages. He could even leave tomorrow. If Conte walks Kane won't sign on and we could say goodbye to him in the summer.

The world is about to come tumbling down on Levy.

Contes post match comments could really twist levys arm. If Conte and Kane left I've no doubt even the most loyal fans would turn on the owners. Questionable ambition is the only reason they'd leave.

There would still be spurs fans that support levy

He’s like Johnson, for some reason some people are completely loyal to him, no matter how much of a complete sh 1t sh0w he oversees
