Championship with Bielsa every time. I can understand how desperate everyone is to stay in the Prem but like many on here, I've been following Leeds man and boy since the late '60s (I'm 66) and have laughed and cried at all of Leeds Utd's ups and downs. I dread the thought of relegation but it's not the be all and end all. I believe that the most important thing is to stay loyal to those who have been loyal you – in this case, the man who has devoted every waking moment of the last four years, a sacrifice that none of us fans could possibly comprehend. And how do we repay him? This is shocking, truly shocking. Like many on here, I've criticised the man for his tactics, his selections, his stubbornness and even asked myself whether he was the best man to take us to the end of the season, but it's only now that I realise the magnitude of betrayal we as a club have perpetrated on Marcelo Bielsa.
This is a shameful day for Leeds United.

Sam can do one and retire. Come on get real, his record is very average...

Obviously my post is a hypothetical question, highlighting to very contrasting scenarios.
Before Bielsa took over I wasn’t that passionate about Leeds or Football, going to watch the team had become a bit of a slog, but his stewardship had made many like myself fall in love with the beautiful game again. I don’t even care about prem football tbh. It’s been great and now I fear the passion for the game dying again.
I really hope his legacy is built on and hasn’t meant nothing.
These owners are imposters and they got bang lucky. Will they do it again? Not sure

Endured 8 years of Second division football in the eighties and the purgatory of 16 years since the turn of the century - complete tripe.

Ah, the awful eighties. Minuscule crowds, the National Front in their jackboots, the Majorettes freezing on the pitch as a prelude to the worst football ever to grace our ground. What was the worst match you attended in that quagmire of a decade, Rev?
Barnsley holds a special place in my heart for providing that view over the footballing abyss which, once seen, can never be erased. One particular game in 1987 was so awful, fans left before it started. Yes, we had 16 years of it more recently, but somehow, the eighties, the half the length, was just as soul-sucking.

Standing in Gelderd End mid Eighties when Sniffer was Manager of Barnsley and him punching the air when their second goal went in for the win - think there was just over 11 or 12 thousand attendance.
Sir Don walking onto the pitch with a walking stick - first evidence of Motor eurones - I was close to tears.
As alluded to above - Saturday afternoons watching with just the core die hard fans. Our fan base in those days were sometimes accused of being fickle.
