Over the past few days we have seen overwhelming show of solidarity with Ukraine at virtually every football match in Europe against the invasion of their land, with the full endorsement and approval of all the football authorities. But a few years ago Celtic were fined after its supporters displayed Palestinian flags and banners in solidarity with the long-suffering Palestinians. Where is the difference?

Changed ma name to support Ukraine.
First time in twelve odd years, so I trust the people of Kyiv appreciate my sacrifice.
17 mile long Russian convoy on its way to Kyiv right now, and it looks like Adolf Putin means business against the people in the city, to be serious for a moment.

This, and the fact that UEFA/FIFA could not turn a blind eye to the Russia situation given the idea to ban them has almost universal backing across football. Funny that it's gonna cost them money on the sponsorship side of things

Just about to nod off, but the #warcrimes trend on twitter is brutal btw . Some really grim videos if you can stomach them of what is happening right now, and what is about to escalate further now that Putin has clearly ordered his military to take the gloves off. The chechans by all accounts, and from the evidence of some of the footage are animals. No other way to put it if it is confirmed that they're behind some of the atrocities shown already.
