Rangnick out

I’m sorry but he has to go. At the end of the season 😉 as Murtough has confirmed the search is underway for a new manager.

For me these are my 5 choices in terms of preference

1) Poch
2) Conte (the dream isn’t dead)
3) Hassenhutl
4) Ten Hag
5) Nagelsmann (not having the best of time at Bayern so might want to try the PL).

I know we never talk about the new permanent manager on here so thought I’d do a truly original post. Of course WW3 might be underway and perhaps the only choices will be between Hafi, Matth and Barry from Eastenders so be careful who you wish for.

Tbh the appointment for Utd is a really tough one.

I wouldn't be convinced on Poch as outside of a couple of seasons at Spurs he's done nothing crazy impressive. Also worth noting that Poch has the same sort of season that Nagelsmann is having now, but worse, in his first season at PSG).

Conte would get the team competitive, but you'd have to throw money at the problem and you feel you'd be stuck in the same situation a couple of years down the line.

I think Potter is a very good manager, but he needs to make the step to a Leicester/Spurs/Everton level club before he has any chance of being considered for a top job.

There's a lot of pretty good options, but no-one who stands out as a no brainer. I imagine it will be Poch though.

Agree with what you have said, although I'd say that Ten Hag is a no-brainer. Or at least the most sensible option.

Utd have appointed Moyes, Ole and Rangnick in the past decade.

I think he still comes with elements of risk though. It's tough because you need to build for the future but a club like Utd will always have people demanding you're competitive now, so it's a really tough line to skirt.

Ten Hag, please!

Got my heart set on Ten Hag.

Get him, give him time to rebuild, instil a particular style of football.

Watch us play winning, schexy football 😁

Can't see it. His stock has fallen a bit recently.

Not far enough to be ruled out with this.

You do remember we appointed a manager who relegated Cardiff City right?
